Veer®, branding & naming for a future forward shipping giant. The mission & promise is to create the first clean container ship to cross an ocean. Veer’s design eliminates the use of fossil fuels (DynaRig sails + green hydrogen).

The name Veer, signifies a clear change in direction, for both the company and the shipping industry. “Veer on course,” a call to action, symbolises a sea change for shipping—an emblem of a clean movement, conscience, and voyage.

NAMING & POSITIONING

The challenge was to craft a phonetically concise name that, captured a revolution—a drastic shift in the shipping industry's status quo.

Additionally, the aim was to forge a name relevant across the globe. Following a naming strategy, we settled on "Veer," drawing from maritime vocabulary to evoke movement & change.
